Document Description
The City of Cupertino is currently undertaking a community-based planning process to review land use alternatives as part of a focused General Plan Amendment. Proposed alternatives include options for City-wide development allocations (office, commercial, hotel, and residential), as well as building heights and densities for major mixed-use corridors, special centers, and seven study areas. The City is also updating its Housing Element to accommodate the Regional Housing Needs Allocation for the 2014-2022 planning period and meet its fair share housing obligations, and amending Chapter 19.56 (Density Bonus) of the City's Municipal code to be consistent with current Housing Element Program 12 (Density Bonus Program). The project may also include changes to the City's zoning map.
