Document Description
The adoption and implementation of the 2035 San Joaquin County General Plan Update (2035 General Plan Update), which is a comprehensive update of the existing County General Plan. This Notice of Preparation for the Program EIR has been prepared in compliance with the CEQA. The comprehensive update to the San Joaquin County General Plan (adopted in 1992, with an update in 2010 to adopt the Housing Element Update) is proposed in order to establish and implement new goals and policies for unincorporated areas of the county to regulate development and balance population growth and economic development with infrastructure availability, agricultural preservation, and natural resource protection.
