- Document Description
- The originally approved project consists of an amendment to Title 19 Kern County Zoning Ordinance (July 2012), with focus on Ch. 19.98 (Oil and Gas Production), to include new site development standards for all oil and gas exploration, extraction, operations, and production activities in unincorporated Kern County. DOGGR, as the Responsible Agency, will be issuing a permit for the proposed project activity, which consists of the following: CRC proposes to drill and hydraulically fracture the four subject wells as replacement producers in order to recover hydrocarbons from an area that is currently un-drained due to sanding events in the original producers. Fracture stimulation is needed to overcome poor permeability in the sands caused by excessive clays in the formation, as well as for sand control. The wells will be fracture stimulated in four to six stages, depending upon the pay encountered while drilling.
