Kern River Holdings II has applied for an expansion of UIC Steamflood Project #34000159 located in the Kern River Oil Field. The purpose of the UIC application is to expand the permitted area of the project to include the Lucky Five and Mitchell leases (collectively referred to as the Lucky Five Project). The operation will encompass approximately 30 acres of the Kern River Formation and 7 drilling/production pads and associated facilities will use approximately 8 acres. The facilities, infrastructure, and wells proposed to perform steam flooding and cyclic steam injection for the modified UIC project in the project area include:(1) installing 11 steamflood wells; (2) installing 6 temperature observation wells; (3) installing 45 cyclic steam injection/production wells; (4) installing a wastewater pipeline; and (5) construction of headers, fin fan, pipelines, power, and minor modifications to the existing facility located adjacent to the property.
