Present Land Use
Developed and Undeveloped land in Kern County. Current Zoning Classifications and General Plan Map Code Designations to remain the same.

Document Description
The originally approved project consists of an amendment to Title 19 Kern County Zoning Ordinance (July 2012) with focus on Chapter 19.98 (Oil and Gas Production), to include new site development standards for all oil and gas exploration, extraction, operations, and production activities in unincorporated Kern County. The Division of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources, as the CEQA responsible agency, will be issuing a permit for the proposed project activity, which consists of the following: CRC proposes to drill, complete, and hydraulically fracture one new oil and gas well. The well will be drilled from a single well pad, directionally drilled from the centralized Section 10H pad to minimize land disturbance and will target the Stevens Sands reservoir. The well will then be perforated and completed with a single stage hydraulically fracture in the Stevens Sands. The well in the project is expected to take approximately 20 days to drill and then 10 days to complete for a total of 30 days. All produced fluids will be collected in a closed system and will not be discharged to the ground of sumps. Processed reclaimed water will be injected into existing Class II wells.
