Document Description
The Applicant is proposing to amend the existing 401 Water Quality Certification to permanently eliminate or modify the requirement for flushing flows that may be detrimental to the Shasta crayfish (Pacifastacus fortis), which was listed as endangered under the Federal Endangered Species Act (ESA) (16 U.S.C Section 1531 - 1544) on September 30, 1988 (53 FR38460) and as endangered under the California ESA (Fish & Game Code Section 2050 2097) on February 26, 1988.
