Document Description
Replace the deficient bridge with one that meets modern highway design standard and accommodate regional transportation needs. The current bridge was built in 1925 and has moderate to severe vertical cracks in the pier walls, inverts and the abutment faces. Work will consist of removing the bridge and replacing with either a precast concrete box culvert or single span concrete slab bridge on concrete abutments and driven steel piles. Due to a number of vehicular accidents near Guys Gulch Bridge the roadway maybe realigned pending funding and landowner's approval. If realignment is permissible Old Hwy 99 will shift slightly east approximately 150 feet for a length of 2,000 linear feet. The roadway may be closed during construction or a detour will be constructed adjacent to the existing roadway.
