Document Description
The proposed project is the request for a Programmatic Channel Maintenance Permit to allow the implementation of a maintenance activities Workplan applicable to 64 geographic locations. Proposed maintenance activities at specified sites may include clearing or trimming vegetation at inlets and outlets for the purpose of removing impediments to storm conveyance flows. In general, non-natives would be removed, and native trees, such as willows, to the maximum extent feasible would be skirted to retain the tree and its canopy, but reduce or eliminate flow impediments. In a few select cases where accumulated sediment has significantly obstructed capacity or impedes storm flows, the City is proposing to remove accumulated sediment to restore function and capacity.
