Document Description
The project proposes replacement of existing sanitary sewer vitrified clay pipe (VCP) with high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes in specific areas of the Crystal Springs County Sanitation District (CSCSD) using primarily the pipe bursting construction method. The specific areas in which new pipe is proposed include the following: Randall Road area, Timberland Way area, Lexington Avenue area, Parrott Drive area, Rainbow Drive area, and South Ascension Drive Area. In most locations, 6" VCP pipe will be replaced with 6" HDPE pipe. However, in some locations where 8" pipe exists downstream of the segments to be replaced, the 6" VCP will be upsized to 8" HDPE. After pipe replacement, existing laterals along the pipe alignment will be re-connected to the new pipe. Existing brick manholes will also be replaced with concrete manholes.
