The North Lane Stormwater Mitigation project is proposed to be constructed because of previous flooding that cascaded over Camino Pablo and into the East Bay Municipal Utility District water treatment plant during storm events. Existing 48-inch culverts and ditches overflowed. The project involves (1) construction of a new upstream headwall, (2) construction by open trench of 60" storm drain pipe in North Lane for approximately 900 feet, (3) jack & bore a 60" pipe for approximately 310' across Camino Pablo to the EBMUD Treatment Plant property, (4) jack & bore a 60" pipe for approximately 90' from EBMUD Treatment Plant property to San Pablo Creek, (5) construction at San Pablo Creek of a new discharge headwall and (6) placement of rock slope protection, revegetation of disturbed areas, and replacement of removed trees.
