Document Description
AVEK proposes to construct and operate a water banking and blending project that would involve spreading State Water Project raw water into recharge basins in order to bank a portion of the SWP water for extraction as an alternative potable groundwater supply for periodic substitution or supplement to the Eastside Water Treatment Plant. Three 2-acre recharge basins, four extraction wells, and associated facilities would be constructed on the project site. In addition, pipelines would be installed under East Avenue U, 96th Street East, and 116th Street east. Modification also would be made to the 96th Street East Turnout of the California Aqueduct.
