Alternative 3 in the San Clement Dam Seismic Safety EIR/EIS was revised by CAW to improve benefits to fish passage/sediment transport, Similar to Alt #3 in the FEiR/EIS the revised project removes San Clemente Dam and reroutes the Carmel River. Also, Old Carmel River Dam (OCRD) will be removed rather than notched. CDWR prepared a Supplement to the EIR (SEIR #2005091148) addressing all project changes except removal of OCRD. SIER No. 2 describes the removal of OCRD, analyzes potential impacts, and proposes mitigation.
