Document Description
Alternative 3 in the San Clemente Dam Seismic Safety EIR/EIS was revised by CAW to improve benefits to fish passage and sediment transport. Similar to Alternative 3 in the FEIR/EIS, the revised project involves removing San Clemente Dam and rerouting the Carmel River. In addition, Old Carmel River Dam (OCRD) will be removed rather than notched. CDWR prepared a Supplement to the EIR (SEIR #2005091148) that addressed all other project changes but did not address removal of OCRD. SEIR No. 2 describes the removal of OCRD, analyzes potential impacts, and proposes mitigation.
