The California Department of Transportation proposes to construct a roundabout to intersection of State Routes (SR)) 20 and 29, between Post Mile (PM) 8.1 to 8.6 on SR 20 and PM 52.35 to 52.53 on SR 29 near Upper Lake, California. The purpose of this project is to reduce the frequency and severity of collisions at the intersection. The project is needed because the collision rate at the intersection is 3.7 times greater than statewide average. The proposed improvements consist of a roundabout with a raised central island and three approaches.
