Document Description
The World Logistics Center (WLC) project is located on 2,610 acres in the Rancho Belago area at the eastern end of Moreno Valley, south of SR-60, east of Redlands Boulevard, west of Gilman Springs Road and north of the San Jacinto Wildlife Area. The site currently has a General Plan designation of Business Park/Light Industrial and zoning designations of WLCSP-LD (World Logistics Center Specific Plan – Logistics Development) and WLCSP-LL (World Logistics Center Specific Plan – Light Logistics). The site is subject to the adopted World Logistics Center Specific Plan (WLC Specific Plan) which authorizes the construction and operation of 40,600,000 square feet of logistics facilities and associated infrastructure. The land use plan in the Specific Plan is shown in Figure 3-8 and is also shown in this section in Figure 3-1. The land use entitlements for the WLC project that are in place include the General Plan and zoning designations, the WLC Specific Plan, and a request for annexation of 85 acres of unincorporated land in Riverside County into the City – having been adopted in November, 2015, through the initiative process. The discretionary approvals that will be considered by the City as part of the approval process consist of a redevelopment agreement and Parcel Map 36457.
