Document Description
The project includes the excavation and off-site disposal of approximately 3,084 cubic yards of arsenic, lead, and TPH-impacted soil with non-hazardous waste classification; and 75 cubic yards of arsenic and leadimpacted soil with California restricted non-RCRA hazardous waste classification due to elevated arsenic and lead levels.
The proposed activities focus on the removal and disposal of soils impacted with elevated arsenic, lead and TPH to reduce the potential threat to human health and the environment. This action provides a permanent solution to reducing the toxicity of the soils at the Site, the mobility of the COCs, and the overall volume of impacted soil.
Following completion of proposed activities, the District's environmental consultant will certify that the necessary removal actions have been completed in accordance with the approved RAW, and as a result, the Site conditions following implementation of this RAW do not pose a significant risk to human health, safety, or the environment.
