The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) is a Responsible Agency for the Project. The State Water Board’s Clean Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) Program is financing the Project referred to internally as Advanced Water Purification System (AWPS) 1 MGD Project. The Project includes construction of an Advanced Water Purification System (AWPS) which consists of advanced treatment facilities at the Applicant's existing Regional Water Quality Control Plant (RWQCP) to reduce total dissolved solids (TDS) in the tertiary-treated recycled water. The Project will be implemented in phases, with the first phase consisting of treatment facilities for 1.125 million-gallons-per-day (MGD) permeate production capacity. The AWPS would have a capacity of 2.250 MGD at build out and initially provide approximately 900 acre-feet per year of recycled water for irrigation.
