Document Description
The City of Palo Alto proposes to construct an advanced water purification system (AWPS) to remove salt from the recycled water produced as part of its Recycled Water Project. The 1 to 2 mgd AWPS facility would be located on a 1.5-acre site at the Regional Water Quality Control Plan (RWQCP). The AWPS would initially provide 1.125 MGD of advanced treated water, known as permeate, with an option to expand production to 2.25 MGD. The permeate from the AWPS would be blended at approximately a one-to-one ratio with tertiary-treated recycled water from the RWQCP to oroduce lower salinity recvcled water to serve customers.
