Document Description
The San Francisco Bay Area Water Emergency Transportation Authority (WETA) proposes to construct a Central Bay Operations and Maintenance Facility to serve as central base, maintenance facility, and emergency operations center for WETA ferry boats operating in the central San Francisco Bay. The proposed project is composed of both landside and marine facilities. Landside facilities would be comprised of a four-story, approximately 25,000-square-foot landside building, which would provide for maintenance functions and a fuel storage facility. The proposed marine facility would have an overwater coverage of approximately 20,000 square feet which would provide berthing slips for up to 11 vessels. The project would also require dredging, resulting in approximately 26,000 cubic yards of dredging material.
