Document Description
The proposed project is a bank stabilization on the southeast bank of Sanchez Creek. An 85-foot wood retaining wall would be replaced and a potting shed and sidewalk that is destabilized would be removed. Eroded bank soils will be excavated, a 1-ft deep concrete footing will be placed at the bottom of the trench and the Allan Blacks will be placed sequentially from the base of the bank to the top. Geogrid, gravel and soil will be placed in layers against the re-contoured bank. Two parallel 75-ft PVC pipe sub-drains will then be installed. A 15-ft long by 11-ft wide deck extension will be placed on the south end. The creek will be dewatered by temporary cofferdams and a diversion pipe will transport water around the work area.
