Document Description
The proposed project includes an amendment to the City of Gilroy General Plan land use map to change the project site land use designation from General Services Commercial to Low Density Residential. The general plan amendment would also entail changes to the text to allow residential development east of U.S. Highway 101. Gilroy General Plan Policy 1.03 would be amended to add an allowance for affordable senior housing east of U.S. Highway 101. A change would also be made to the text on Gilroy General Plan page 3-3 to change a reference to housing only on the west side of U.S. Highway 101.
