Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement number I 600-2009-0389-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, County of Santa Cruz. The County of Santa Cruz will conduct routine maintenance activities within Zone 4 of the Santa Cruz County's Flood Control District. Routine maintenance is defined as periodically scheduled and implemented activities as necessary to reduce immediate threats to public safety, infrastructure or aquatic habitat while maintaining large woody material in streams to enhance habitat value to the greatest extent possible.

The Project is located within Zone 4 of the Santa Cruz County's Flood Control District, which covers all watersheds within Santa Cruz County. Many of the covered activities will occur within the perennial streams of the San Lorenzo, Soquel, and Aptos watersheds, and the Corralitos subbasin of the Pajaro River watershed. Occasionally, work will occur in smaller stream systems and lagoons.
