The project is proposed to provide ~148,350 to 183,850 gsf of space for key instruction and research programs, with the size range depending on available funding. The building would provide new wet research laboratories, laboratory support space, core labs and offices in the SOM. The proposed building would have a rectangular shaped footprint with a 4 to 5 story laboratory building with a basement level and a 5 to 7 story office component. A tunnel would be constructed to connect to the Pharmacy Building which has an existing vivarium and loading dock access that would be shared with the proposed project.
