Document Description
The proposed project involves the conversion of the surface of the 3.44 acre lower athletic field in Highlands Park from the existing natural turf to synthetic turf. This conversion is designed to accommodate a portion of the demand for more athletic field play and practice time in the City of San Carlos and would result in an increase in the recreational usage of the lower athletic field at Highlands Park for all sports throughout the year relative to existing usage. The proposed project would also involve removal of the existing irrigation, installation of quick coupler valves around the perimeter of the field, on-site drainage modifications, completion of fencing around the field, and adjustments to the locations of the access to the athletic field.
