Document Description
The Applicant intends to alter the streambed by constructing bank protection along the northwest bank of the Arroyo Simi, adjacent to the City of Simi Valley's water quality control plant. A combination of rock groins and pile retard system will be installed along the failing concrete, riprap slope (existing). The pile retard system will include 9 bents. Each bent is composed of 8-15 piles, which will be driven into the ground every 6-8 ft. Each pile will be connected with rows of half-inch galvanized steel cable. Five rock groins will be constructed and will construct at a 9.5 ft width and vary in length from 25-50 ft. A portion of the bents and groins will be tied into the existing bank protection.
