The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2009-0123-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Dena McCann of the El Dorado Irrigation District. The project proposes to replace 2 existing wooden flumes and foundation structures at 2 separate locations along the El Dorado Canal. The existing flumes will be disassembled, removed, and re-built using in-kind timber construction with the concrete cast-in place foundations at the same capacity and within the same footprint as the original. The Flume Replacements will occur during the annual outage (no water in the EID canal system).
