Document Description
Waterfix, Alternative 4A would construct a new north Delta intake structure, fish screens and a dual conveyance system. The objective of the project is to increase water supply reliability and align water operations to better reflect natural seasonal flow regime. The new facility will reduce State Water Project (SWP) and Central Valley Project (CVP) reliance existing diversion facilities located in the southern area of the Delta. This alternative allows for greater operational flexibility to protect fish species and specifies extensive habitat restoration as compensatory mitigation resulting from likely impacts of construction and operations.
