Document Description
The proposed project involves installation of a 30-inch potable water line between Hale Ranch Road and the West America Drive/Adagio Drive intersection. This 2.5 mile route is the second segment of the East-West Water Transmission Pipeline; the City previously approved construction for the 7.5-mile route connecting existing water mains at the Hale Ranch Road/Cordelia Road and Cement Hill Road/Clay Bank Road intersections. The purpose of the new transmission main is to pump water from the North Bay Regional Water Plant (NBR) to Cordelia.
The second segment consists of an approximately 2.5-mile route between Hale Ranch Road and West America Drive. The pipeline would utilize City right-of-way, where available, and would be placed within the roadway right-of-way of two new roads proposed as part of the Fairfield Corporate Commons and North Connector projects. The pipeline would also traverse a section of agricultural land.
