Proposed changes include: The facility name will change from Allied Imperial Landfill to Imperial Landfill; permitted area will increase from 170 acres to 337 acres; permitted disposal area will increase from 73 acres to 162 acres; maximum elevation will increase from -32 feet to 50 feet mean sea level; waste tonnage limits will be increased from 1,135 to 1,700 tons per day; traffic limits will be increased from 274 to 400 vehicles per day, commercial operating hours will increase (Monday through Saturday from 4:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., and green waste/CDI processing 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.); a new public drop off area will be constructed; CDI processing limits will be increased from 25 to 50 tons per day; estimated closure date will change from 2012 to 2040; design and operation changes resulting from the facility expansion were made to the joint Technical Document.
