The City of Rosemead has initiated a comprehensive program to update the City's General Plan. State law requires each city to adopt a comprehensive, long-term general plan for the physical development of the city and any land outside its corporate boundaries that relates to its planning and operation (i.e., within that city's Sphere of Influence). The General Plan addresses the six state-mandated general plan elements (land use, circulateion, safety, open space, conservation and noise), as well as other issues that are important to the community.
