Document Description
Caltrans proposes to build a 6-foot buffer zone between opposing traffic on State Route 4 in Contra Costa County from Marsh Creek Road to the Contra Costa/San Joaquin County line. The project will require the widening of the Kellogg Creek Bridge to provide standard shoulders. Minimization measures will be implemented per the East Contra Costa County Habitat Conservation Strategy. Caltrans shall compensate for giant garter snake and delta smelt habitat impacts by purchasing conservation credits at sites approved by DFG.
