Approximately 40% of the land area within the Shasta CSD is public land. Almost all private land in the Shasta CSD is designated as Rural Residential A (RA) in the Shasta County General Plan.

Document Description
The purpose of the proposed long term water transfer from ACID to Shasta CSD is to provide an adequate supply for fire protection and suppression to supplement the existing supply during times of drought, and to meet the projected increase in demand resulting from continued growth within the District's service area as detailed in the Shasta CSD Master Water Plan (2003).
