Document Description
The primary purpose of the project is to restore natural geomorphic and ecological processes along the reach of the Upper Truckee River within Washoe Meadows State Park and Lake Valley State Recreation Area and to reduce the river's suspended sediment discharge to Lake Tahoe. The project includes reconfiguration of the Lake Tahoe Golf Course to allow for restoration of the river and to reduce the area of Stream Environment Zone occupied by the golf course. The project includes adjustment of the boundaries between the two park units.
