Document Description
Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) proposes to construct the Perris II Brackish Groundwater Desalter Project in southwestern Riverside County within the service boundaries of EMWD. The following components will be constructed: (1) a reverse osmosis building; (2) chemical storage and feed facilities; (3) chlorine contact tanks and finished water pump station; (4) a brine pump station and connection to Temescal Valley Regional Interceptor; (5) a field laboratory; and (6) a storage and maintenance facility. The project will provide up to 6,000 acre-feet per year of treated groundwater for potable uses within EMWD's service area. The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (Metropolitan) has authorized a Local Resources Program (LRP) agreement with EMWD to provide financial incentives for the proposed project.
