- The Sacramento River, Reach D, Contract 1, Front Street Stability Berm, is a component of the American River Common Feature 2016 project. The project will construct a levee improvement consisting of a an approx. 400 foot long stability berm against the land side slope of the Sac River east levee. Through seepage conditions in the Project area make this section of the levee susceptible to failure during high water events. The purpose of the project is to reinforced and reduce seepage through this section of the levee system via the construction of a landside stability berm.
