Document Description
As part of the American River Watershed Common Features Project, the United States Army Corps of Engineers, Central Valley Flood Protection Board, and Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency propose to construct levee improvements consisting of approximately 3,000 linear feet of bank protection and on-site riparian habitat features to address erosion concern at Site 1-1 along the left bank of the Lower American River. Site 1-1 is located between river mile 3.8 and river mile 4.2 in the same location as Interstate 80 and upstream of the City of Sacramento's Sutter's Landing Park in the American River Parkway. Most of the levee improvements included in the Project were analyzed in the American River Watershed Common Features General Reevaluation Report EIS/EIR (ARCF GRR EIS/EIR, SCH # 2005072046). This Supplemental EA/EIR addresses project modifications and refinements since publication of the ARCF GRR EIS/EIR.
