Document Description
The Project includes the installation of approximately 5,500 linear feet of erosion protection along the left bank of the American River in Sacramento, California from just upstream of the Guy West Bridge downstream to Glenn Hall Park. The purpose of the Project is to reduce flood risk to the City of Sacramento by proactively constructing levee improvements that reduce the risk of levee failure due to levee erosion. The Project includes the installation of a riparian planting bench and in-stream woody material to provide on-site habitat to fish and wildlife species. The Project also includes construction of three off-site habitat mitigation sites, including one site along the left bank near Glenn Hall Park and two sites along the right bank near Rio Americano High School.
