Document Description
The project includes both text and map amendments to the General Plan; changes to the Chico Municipal Code, including establishment of Traditional Neighborhood Development Regulations; a series of changes to the Chico Zoning Map; and a Development Agreement to guide development of the Meriam Park site. The Meriam Park project is comprised of residential, commercial, office, recreational, and civic uses. The total residential yield is anticipated to be between 2,300 and 3,200 dwelling units housed in a variety of single-family and multi-family building types. The maximum non-residential square footage is 287,000 square feet of retail and 900,000 square feet of commercial and civic buildings. Meriam Park would feature an interconnected network of streets and rear alleys. Public spaces are distributed through the project. The project includes approximately 68 acres of open space.
