Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (Notification No. LAN-20081-R5), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, to the project applicant Palmdale Water District, as represented by Scott Rogers. The Project is limited to Phase II of a three-phase project to remove sediment from the Littlerock Reservoir to restore its original design capacity. Sediment removal activities will occur over a 7-12 year period and approximately 1,165,000 cubic yards of sediment will be removed from a 9-acre area within the reservoir. Approximately 97,000 to 166,000 cubic yards of sediment will be removed annually. This amount will vary depending upon availability of equipment, rainfall, and other factors. Work will be conducted from early September until the end of February each work season or until the reservoir is inundated by seasonal rainfall.
