Present Land Use
Present land use at the project site is open space. The project area is zoned as Open Space (OS) within the Carbon Canyon Specific Plan area, Suburban Residential Communities (1B) within the unincorporated Orange County area, and Single Family Residential (SF1-1) within the City of Brea.
Document Description
The project would construct a new 5,145-foot gravity flow sewer pipeline in the City of Brea. The 30-inch pipeline would begin at the existing Carbon Canyon Pump Station in Carbon Canyon Regional Park and would tie into the existing Carbon Canyon Interceptor at the intersection of Rose and Vesuvius Drive. A pipe size up to 36-inches may be required to accommodate flows, but would not increase capacity. It is anticipated that construction would start early 2006 and would likely extend to the early part of 2007. The project includes the Expanded Service Area Option, which would serve approximately 3,675 acres of unincorporated Los Angeles County and the City of Chino Hills in San Bernardino County that are adjacent to and naturally drain into the Orange County Sanitation District's service area through the City of Brea.
