The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes freeway improvements on the I-80 corridor to meet the following objectives: improve mobility, relieve congestion, maintain trip reliability, and enhance the overall safety for motorists using the freeway from near the Sacramento/Placer County line to east of the Sate Route (SR) 65 connector.
