Document Description
The purpose of the proposed project is to improve stormwater drainage flowing off the landfill's eastern boundary. Currently, stormwater sheet flows off the landfill resulting in significant sediment accumulation at the base of the landfill. The proposed project would direct stormwater flowing off the landfill through a rock-lined channel. A berm will be constructed along the channel to contain the stormwater runoff. Drainage will then flow through a constructed underground pipe and into the desiltation basin, approximately 650 feet by 80 feet and 10-12 feet deep. The basin will allow sediment to settle out of the water before emptying into the Sweetwater River.
