Document Description
In order to reduce hazardous fire risk to people and structures in the East Bay Hills, the UC Berkeley has approved vegetation management work on its properties as outlined and included in grant applications submitted to Cal OES by UCB, plus additional vegetation management work not eligible for FEMA funding, as outlined in the Hazardous Fire Risk Reduction FEIS, East Bay Hills, CA. The proposed project incorporates relevant measures from the 2020 LRDP EIR and the EBH EIS. The proposed action includes compliance with conditions of approval set forth in a Biological Opinion completed by the U.S. Dept. of Interior Fish and Wildlife Service in 2013, and includes post treatment measures and monitoring; post treatment measures were sometimes referred to in the EBH EIS as the UCB Mitigation Monitoring Plan, but are referred to in the HCFRR Addendum as the Biological Opinion Post Treatment Monitoring Plan for clarity.
