Document Description
The proposed project (Jacobs Hall) would include the construction of a new 24,035 gsf academic instructional building on a vacant land parcel owned by the Regents and located on the southwest corner of the intersection of Le Roy Avenue and Ridge Road and within the Adjacent Blocks North land uses area, per UC Berkeley's 2020 LRDP. The building would house the Jacobs Design Innovation Institute, a consolidation of existing engineering design programs for undergraduates in the College of Engineering and other related departments. The proposed building includes collaborative design studios, prototyping laboratories, incubator space, private and interactive work space, and lounge and exhibit space.
