Light Industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, and agricultural uses are characteristic of the current land use regime within the project area. Lands to the west of State Route 99 are developed with various commercial, light industrial, and agricultural uses, including Recreational Vehicle (RV) dealerships, the Malaga Wastewater Treatment Plant, several recycling operations, and vineyards. Agriculture, medium-high density residential, and industrial Agriculture, open space, general commercial, industrial, manufacturing, and residential.
Document Description
The proposed incorporation of Malaga would result in the establishment of a new city and Sphere of Influence (SOI). The project area is comprised of the proposed city limits and SOI. It consists of approximately 3,933 acres of land located south of and adjacent to the City of Fresno, in north central Fresno County. The Malaga incorporation proponents propose that the new city would be a General Law City with a city manager form of government.
