The Land Use Plan of the Local Coastal Program includes modified goals and policies, based on the May 9, 2017 Coastal Commission approval. The goals and policies for the Coastal Zone are furthered based on the requirements of the Coastal Act of 1976 and the Coastal Commission's LCP Update Guide. A General Plan Amendment to the San Dieguito Community Plan by replacing its land use section with the Board-adopted LCP Land Use Plan.
