The proposed project will involve several components, which together will result in protection of the existing bridge. These components include (1) placement of rock slope protection to supplement rock placed during emergency work in the winter of 2002, (2) removal of the sand/gravel/rock bar to reestablish and redirect flows away from southern river bank, and (3) repair of existing sack-concrete protecting the bridge abutment.
