Document Description
As Lead Agency, the Ventura County Watershed River Protection District prepared and EIR for the Matilija Dam Ecosystem Restoration Project (referred to herein as the "approved project"). The district proposed the multi-component project comprising improvements to or a new construction of two bridges, three levees, water infrastructure, habitat restoration, recreation facilities, and lastly, Matilija Dam removal. Each of the components was described in general for the analyses, since final detailed designs had not yet been completed. The Ventura County Board of Supervisors certified the EIR (State Clearinghouse No. 2002011094) and approved the Matilija Dam Ecosystem Restoration Project on 12/14/2004.
