Document Description
The project is a proposal for a modification to an existing Major Use Permit (84-04) to allow for a Christian religious complex and retreat for prayer school on a 23.5-acre lot in Ramona. The modification consists of the construction of one library, one office building and 16 10-by 10-foot prayer closets. In addition, a portable tent is to be constructed on the existing baseball field for Sunday Services. A new sign (10 feet by 7 feet) is also proposed. Proposed religious uses for the site include prayer school (50 students per day), Sunday Services and Wednesday (up to 200 people), special events (camping for 50 handicapped children), monthly revivals (up to 200 people), and weddings (up to 200 people). Access to the project site is from Highway 67.
