The project consists of an interim flood control project for Stevens Canyon Road within Stevens Creek County Park, between the upper portions of Stevens Creek Reservoir and Mount Eden Road (a distance of about 2,000 feet). This stretch of roadway has experienced flooding and resulting roadway closure during the past few winters. The project includes both the raising of the roadway up to six feet in its existing location, and the yearly maintenance desilting of Stevens Creek along the project length.
